About Karen Hickey Having studied portrait drawing, life drawing and painting over the past 13 years, Kildare based artist Karen Hickey now exercises her own highly distinctive expressive style. In 2017, Hickey exhibited six large scale artworks at the Electric Picnic Festival and was involved in two group exhibitions at Inspire Gallery, Dublin. A wide selection of the artist's work was also commissioned for and installed in the new Google offices at Grand Canal Dock in Dublin. In May 2018, Hickey’s solo exhibition "Clothed" ran for two weeks at the Signal Gallery in Bray, Co. Wicklow, and in August she painted a large mural in the New Park Gardens as part of the Waterford Walls Festival. Hickey exhibited her work at Art Source in the RDS, Dublin in November 2018 and will be there again this year.
