Artist's Statement
My personal approach is driven by a mixture of instinct and a subject matter that I find interesting, which so far is people, their expressions, moods and movement. My aim is always to create pieces that are alive, colourful, fun, expressive and tell a story.
Bio
Having studied portrait drawing, life drawing and painting over the past 13 years, Karen Hickey now exercises her own highly distinctive expressive style.
In 2017, Karen exhibited six large scale artworks at the Electric Picnic Festival and was involved in two group exhibitions at Inspire Gallery, Dublin. A wide selection of her work was also commissioned for and installed in the new Google offices at Grand Canal Dock in Dublin.
In May 2018, Karen’s solo exhibition "Clothed" ran for two weeks at the Signal Gallery in Bray, Co. Wicklow, and in August she painted a large mural in the New Park Gardens as part of the Waterford Walls Festival. Karen exhibits her work at the Art Source event in the RDS, Dublin on an annual basis.

Once your order has been processed, you will receive a shipping confirmation message by e-mail that contains your unique tracking number. Please allow 3-10 business days for delivery within the UK and Ireland, 4-15 business days for EU and EEA orders, and 5-28 business days for the USA, Canada and the rest of the world.
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may initiate a return within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of your original payment (minus return shipping costs). Items must be in as-received condition and in their original packaging to qualify for a refund or exchange.
