Artist's Statement
This work is part of my ongoing 'Morning Dance' series. These vibrant, expressive paintings were made quickly with a loose hand and clear intention – an emotional release expressing various states of movement and motion.
Bio
Sophia Vigne graduated from NCAD with a Bachelor of Fine Art Media in 2016. Whilst in college photography was her primary medium with a particular interest in 120mm portraiture and socially engaged work.
In 2017 Sophia moved to Los Angeles for a year where she worked as a gallery assistant and continued to develop her artistic practice. Her focus shifted from photography to painting and she participated in several group shows across the city.
Since returning to Ireland Sophia continues to exhibit around Ireland and internationally. She is a member of Dublin based art collective Epoch, an all-female group who create, curate and facilitate workshops.
Sophia’s work is inspired by nature, rave culture, day to day occurrences and overheard snippets of conversation. These elements are often expressed via a stream of consciousness; painted and drawn on a flat surface. Using vivid, sometimes garish colours she creates microcosms of her surrounding environment.

Once your order has been processed, you will receive a shipping confirmation message by e-mail that contains your unique tracking number. Please allow 3-10 business days for delivery within the UK and Ireland, 4-15 business days for EU and EEA orders, and 5-28 business days for the USA, Canada and the rest of the world.
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may initiate a return within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of your original payment (minus return shipping costs). Items must be in as-received condition and in their original packaging to qualify for a refund or exchange.
